Meta Description: This document outlines the Installation Qualification protocol for the Solution Preparation Tank used in the production of Nasal and Otic Products.

Tags: Installation Qualification, Equipment Validation, Solution Preparation Tank, Nasal Products, Otic Products

Objective

The objective of this Installation Qualification (IQ) protocol is to ensure that the Solution Preparation Tank is installed correctly and functions as intended, in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Scope

This protocol applies to the Installation Qualification of the Solution Preparation Tank used in the production of both sterile and non-sterile Nasal and Otic Products in the Production area.

Responsibilities

  • Validation Team: Responsible for planning, executing, and documenting the IQ protocol.
  • Production Team: Responsible for providing operational input and supporting the validation activities.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for reviewing and approving the IQ protocol and results.

Prerequisites

  • Completion of equipment installation as per manufacturer specifications.
  • Availability of necessary documentation including User Requirements Specification (URS) and equipment manuals.
  • Training of personnel on the equipment operation and validation procedures.

Equipment Description

The Solution Preparation Tank is designed to dissolve ingredients and prepare formulations for Nasal and Otic Products. It is equipped with features to monitor critical parameters such as temperature, mixing speed, and conductivity, and is integrated with a PLC for data logging.

Test Plan

Test ID Procedure Acceptance Evidence
IQ-001 Verify equipment installation against manufacturer specifications. All components installed as per specifications. Installation checklist signed by validation team.
IQ-002 Check the functionality of PLC logging. PLC logs data correctly under operational conditions. PLC log samples from initial runs.
IQ-003 Verify critical parameter settings (Temp, Mixing Speed, Conductivity). Settings within defined limits as per URS Annex 11. Calibration certificates and setting records.

Detailed Test Cases

Test Case 1: Verify Equipment Installation

Procedure: Inspect the installation of the Solution Preparation Tank against the manufacturer’s specifications. Confirm all components are present and correctly installed.

Acceptance Criteria: All components must be installed as per specifications.

Evidence: Installation checklist signed by validation team.

Test Case 2: PLC Logging Functionality

Procedure: Operate the Solution Preparation Tank and observe the PLC logging functionality to ensure it accurately records operational data.

Acceptance Criteria: PLC must log data correctly under operational conditions.

Evidence: PLC log samples from initial runs.

Test Case 3: Verification of Critical Parameters

Procedure: Measure and record the temperature, mixing speed, and conductivity during operation to ensure they meet the specified limits.

Acceptance Criteria: All parameters must be within the defined limits as per URS Annex 11.

Evidence: Calibration certificates and setting records.

Deviations

Any deviations from the acceptance criteria must be documented and reported to the Quality Assurance team for further investigation and resolution.
