Reviewed By: [Reviewer Name]

Approval Date: [Approval Date]

Objective

The objective of this Installation Qualification (IQ) protocol is to ensure that the Drying Oven used for the drying of solvent from coated patch film meets predefined specifications and is installed correctly for the production of Transdermal Patches.

Scope

This protocol applies to the Drying Oven utilized in the Production area for the direct impact on the Transdermal Patches (TDS) manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Validation Team: Responsible for the execution and documentation of the IQ protocol.
  • Engineering Team: Responsible for the installation and maintenance of the Drying Oven.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for the review and approval of the IQ protocol and results.

Prerequisites

  • Completion of equipment installation by the Engineering Team.
  • Availability of relevant documentation, including User Requirement Specifications (URS) and equipment manuals.
  • Training of personnel on equipment operation and safety procedures.

Equipment Description

The Drying Oven is designed to remove solvents from coated patch films efficiently. It operates under controlled temperature and airflow conditions to ensure optimal drying times and solvent removal.

Test Plan

Test ID Procedure Acceptance Criteria Evidence
IQ-01 Verify installation against manufacturer specifications. All components installed as per specifications. Installation checklist and photographs.
IQ-02 Check calibration of temperature and airflow sensors. Calibration within specified limits. Calibration certificates.
IQ-03 Perform drying time tests with solvent-coated patches. Solvent removal meets specified drying time. Test results and logs.
