Installation Qualification Protocol for Aqueous Buffer Preparation Tank
Meta Description: This document outlines the Installation Qualification (IQ) protocol for the Aqueous Buffer Preparation Tank used in NDDS for Liposomes and Lipid Nanoparticles, focusing on critical parameters and compliance.
Tags: Installation Qualification, Equipment Validation, NDDS, Liposomes, Lipid Nanoparticles
Objective
The objective of this Installation Qualification (IQ) protocol is to verify that the Aqueous Buffer Preparation Tank is installed correctly and operates in accordance with specified requirements to ensure the preparation of the aqueous phase for NDDS.
Scope
This protocol applies to the Aqueous Buffer Preparation Tank located in the R&D/Production area and is intended for use in the preparation of aqueous phases for liposomes and lipid nanoparticles.
Responsibilities
- Validation Team: Responsible for the execution of the IQ protocol.
- Quality Assurance: Responsible for reviewing and approving the protocol.
- Maintenance Team: Responsible for ensuring the equipment is operational prior to IQ execution.
Prerequisites
- Completion of equipment installation by the manufacturer.
- Training of personnel on equipment operation.
- Availability of necessary documentation, including User Requirement Specification (URS) and equipment manuals.
Equipment Description
The Aqueous Buffer Preparation Tank is designed to prepare the aqueous phase required for the formulation of liposomes and lipid nanoparticles. It is equipped with features to monitor and control key parameters such as pH, conductivity, temperature, and mixing records.
Test Plan
| Test ID | Procedure | Acceptance Criteria | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| IQ-01 | Verify installation against design specifications. | All components installed as per URS Annex11. | Installation checklist. |
| IQ-02 | Check calibration of pH sensor. | pH sensor calibrated within specified range. | Calibration certificate. |
| IQ-03 | Verify conductivity meter calibration. | Conductivity meter calibrated within specified range. | Calibration certificate. |
| IQ-04 | Check temperature control functionality. | Temperature maintained within specified limits. | Temperature logs. |
| IQ-05 | Verify mixing records functionality. | Mixing records generated and stored correctly. | Mixing log reports. |
