Installation Qualification Protocol for Binder Solution Preparation Tank

Objective: To verify that the Binder Solution Preparation Tank is installed and operates according to specified requirements and is suitable for use in the production of solid dosage forms.

Scope: This protocol applies to the Binder Solution Preparation Tank used in the production/granulation area for binder preparation in solid dosage form manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Validation Team: Responsible for executing the IQ protocol and documenting the results.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for reviewing and approving the IQ documentation.
  • Maintenance Team: Responsible for ensuring the equipment is maintained and operational prior to IQ execution.

Prerequisites:

  • Completion of equipment installation.
  • Availability of necessary documentation (URS, SOPs, etc.).
  • Training of personnel on equipment operation.

Equipment Description:

The Binder Solution Preparation Tank is a stainless steel vessel designed for the preparation of binder solutions in solid dosage form manufacturing. The tank is equipped with an agitation mechanism, temperature control, and a holding capacity suitable for batch production.
