Objective

The objective of this Installation Qualification protocol is to verify that the Automatic Capsule Filling Machine is installed correctly and operates in accordance with the specified requirements outlined in the User Requirement Specification (URS) and Annex 11.

Scope

This protocol applies to the Installation Qualification of the Automatic Capsule Filling Machine located in the Production area designated for capsule manufacturing.

Responsibilities

The following personnel are responsible for the execution and approval of this protocol:

  • Validation Team: Execution of the IQ protocol.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and approval of the protocol.
  • Engineering: Installation and maintenance of the equipment.

Prerequisites

Prior to executing this protocol, the following must be completed:

  • Installation of the Automatic Capsule Filling Machine.
  • Completion of all relevant training for personnel.
  • Availability of required documentation (URS, SOPs, etc.).

Equipment Description

The Automatic Capsule Filling Machine is designed for the efficient filling of capsules with powder or granule formulations. It is equipped with PLC controls to monitor and adjust critical parameters such as fill weight, speed, and reject rates.
