Performance Qualification Protocol for CIP Skid in Nasal & Otic Products

Meta Description: This document outlines the Performance Qualification protocol for the CIP Skid system used in the production and cleaning of nasal and otic products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Tags: Performance Qualification, CIP Skid, Equipment Validation, Nasal Products, Otic Products

Objective

The objective of this Performance Qualification (PQ) is to validate the CIP Skid system used for cleaning tanks and pipelines in the production of nasal and otic products, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and product specifications.

Scope

This PQ protocol applies to the CIP Skid system utilized in the cleaning processes of production areas for both sterile and non-sterile nasal and otic products.

Responsibilities

The following personnel are responsible for the execution and oversight of this PQ:

  • Validation Team: Responsible for the development and execution of the PQ protocol.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for review and approval of the PQ documentation.
  • Production Staff: Responsible for operating the CIP Skid during the qualification process.

Prerequisites

  • Completion of Installation Qualification (IQ) for the CIP Skid.
  • Availability of all necessary equipment and materials required for testing.
  • Training of personnel on the operation of the CIP Skid.

Equipment Description

The CIP Skid is a system designed for the cleaning of tanks and pipelines, featuring the following capabilities:

  • Temperature control
  • Conductivity measurement
  • Flow rate monitoring
  • Audit trail logging

Test Plan

Test ID Procedure Acceptance Criteria Evidence
PQ-001 Temperature verification Temperature within specified range Temperature log
PQ-002 Conductivity measurement Conductivity within specified limits Conductivity log
PQ-003 Flow rate testing Flow rate meets specified requirements Flow rate log
PQ-004 Audit trail verification Complete and accurate audit trail Audit trail report

Detailed Test Cases

Test Case PQ-001: Temperature Verification

Objective: To ensure that the CIP Skid maintains the required temperature during cleaning processes.

Procedure: Monitor and record the temperature at specified intervals during the cleaning cycle.

Acceptance Criteria: The temperature must remain within the specified range of [insert range].

Evidence: Temperature log for the cleaning cycle.

Test Case PQ-002: Conductivity Measurement

Objective: To verify that the conductivity of the cleaning solution is within acceptable limits.

Procedure: Measure and record conductivity at the end of the cleaning cycle.

Acceptance Criteria: Conductivity must be within [insert limits].

Evidence: Conductivity log for the cleaning cycle.

Test Case PQ-003: Flow Rate Testing

Objective: To confirm that the flow rate of the cleaning solution meets the specified requirements.

Procedure: Measure and record the flow rate during the cleaning cycle.

Acceptance Criteria: Flow rate must meet the requirement of [insert flow rate].

Evidence: Flow rate log for the cleaning cycle.

Test Case PQ-004: Audit Trail Verification

Objective: To ensure that the audit trail is complete and accurate.

Procedure: Review the audit trail logs generated during the cleaning cycle.

Acceptance Criteria: Audit trail must show all actions taken during the cleaning process.

Evidence: Audit trail report.

Deviations

Any deviations from the acceptance criteria must be documented and reviewed. A deviation report will be generated for any critical failures observed during the PQ process.

Data Integrity Checks

For this stage, the following data integrity checks will be implemented:

  • Regular audits of log files to ensure no data tampering.
  • Validation of user access controls to restrict unauthorized access to the CIP Skid system.
  • Implementation of automated alerts for any anomalies detected in the operation logs.
