Meta Description: This document outlines the Performance Qualification Protocol for the Coding Machine in the packaging of Nasal and Otic products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Tags: Equipment Validation, Coding Machine, Performance Qualification, Nasal Products, Otic Products

Objective

The objective of this protocol is to establish and document the Performance Qualification (PQ) of the Coding Machine used for printing batch and expiry information on Nasal and Otic products, ensuring the equipment operates within specified limits and meets regulatory requirements.

Scope

This protocol applies to the Coding Machine (Inkjet/Laser) utilized in the Packaging area for printing on Nasal and Otic products, both sterile and non-sterile. The protocol encompasses the validation of critical parameters affecting product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Validation Team: Responsible for executing the PQ protocol and documenting results.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for reviewing and approving the PQ documentation.
  • Operations: Responsible for ensuring the equipment is maintained and operated according to SOPs.

Prerequisites

  • Completion of Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ).
  • Training of personnel on the operation of the Coding Machine.
  • Availability of necessary materials and resources for testing.

Equipment Description

The Coding Machine (Inkjet/Laser) is designed to print batch and expiry dates directly onto packaging materials for Nasal and Otic products. It operates within specified parameters to ensure print quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Test Plan

Test ID Procedure Acceptance Criteria Evidence
PQ-001 Perform print quality audit trail logs review. Logs must show 100% accuracy for batch and expiry printing. Audit trail logs report.
PQ-002 Conduct print quality checks on samples. Print must be legible, clear, and free from smudges. Sample print evaluation report.

Detailed Test Cases

Test Case 1: Print Quality Audit Trail Logs Review

Objective: To verify that the print quality audit trail logs are complete and accurate.

Procedure: Review the logs for at least 100 batches of printed materials.

Acceptance Criteria: All logs must show no discrepancies in batch and expiry information.

Evidence: Completed audit trail log report.

Test Case 2: Print Quality Check

Objective: To assess the quality of printed information on packaging.

Procedure: Collect samples from the production line and evaluate the print quality.

Acceptance Criteria: Print must meet legibility and clarity standards.

Evidence: Print quality evaluation report.

Deviations

Any deviations from the established acceptance criteria must be documented in the deviation log and reviewed by the Quality Assurance team for potential impact on product quality.

Approvals

This protocol must be approved by the following personnel:

  • Validation Manager: ____________________ Date: ___________
  • Quality Assurance Manager: ____________________ Date: ___________
  • Operations Manager: ____________________ Date: ___________

Data Integrity Checks

As CSV is required, the following data integrity checks will be performed:

  • Validation of data entries against predefined standards.
  • Regular audits of print quality logs to ensure compliance.
  • Backup of electronic records to prevent data loss.
