Objective:
The objective of this Design Qualification (DQ) protocol is to verify that the Induction Sealing Machine used for sealing liners in Solid Dosage Form packaging meets the specified requirements and is suitable for its intended use.
Scope:
This protocol applies to the Induction Sealing Machine located in the Packaging/Primary area, specifically for the sealing of liners in Solid Dosage Form products. It encompasses the validation of critical parameters affecting product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Validation Team: Responsible for executing the DQ protocol and documenting results.
- Quality Assurance: Responsible for reviewing and approving the DQ protocol and results.
- Engineering: Responsible for providing technical support and ensuring equipment compliance.
Prerequisites:
- Completion of User Requirement Specification (URS) for the Induction Sealing Machine.
- Installation Qualification (IQ) must be completed prior to DQ execution.
- Staff training on equipment operation and safety must be completed.
Equipment Description:
The Induction Sealing Machine is designed for sealing liners on containers to ensure product integrity. It operates by applying electromagnetic induction to create a hermetic seal. The machine is critical for maintaining the quality and safety of Solid Dosage Form products.
| Test ID | Procedure | Acceptance | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| DQ-IS-01 | Verify power conveyor speed settings. | Conveyor speed must be within specified limits. | Calibration log and speed test report. |
| DQ-IS-02 | Check seal integrity after operation. | All seals must pass integrity tests. | Seal integrity test report. |
Detailed Test Cases:
- Test Case DQ-IS-01: Measure the conveyor speed using a calibrated tachometer. Record the speed and compare it to the specified range.
- Test Case DQ-IS-02: Perform seal integrity tests using a pressure decay method. Document all results and ensure compliance with acceptance criteria.
Deviations:
Any deviations from the acceptance criteria must be documented and reviewed. A root cause analysis will be conducted, and corrective actions will be implemented as necessary.
