Installation Qualification Protocol for Nanoparticle Reactor

Objective: To validate the installation of the Nanoparticle Reactor for the emulsification and precipitation of polymer nanoparticles, ensuring compliance with URS Annex11 and Annex15.

Scope: This protocol applies to the Nanoparticle Reactor located in the R&D/Production area, focusing on its use in the formulation of polymeric nanoparticles.

Responsibilities:

  • Validation Team: Execute the IQ protocol and document results.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and approve the IQ protocol and results.
  • Engineering: Ensure the equipment is installed per specifications.

Prerequisites:

  • Installation of the Nanoparticle Reactor must be completed.
  • All necessary utilities (electricity, water, etc.) must be available.
  • Personnel must be trained on equipment operation.

Equipment Description: The Nanoparticle Reactor is a batch reactor designed for the emulsification and precipitation of polymer nanoparticles, such as PLGA. It features adjustable mixing speeds, temperature controls, and precise addition rates.

Test ID Procedure Acceptance Criteria Evidence
IQ-001 Verify installation of the reactor components. All components installed per manufacturer specifications. Installation checklist completed.
IQ-002 Check utility connections (water, electricity). All utilities operational and within specified ranges. Utility verification log.
IQ-003 Calibrate mixing speed and temperature controls. Mixing speed and temperature within ±5% of set point. Calibration certificates.
IQ-004 Document addition rate and time records. Records maintained and accurate. Logbook entries.
