Objective

The objective of this Operational Qualification (OQ) protocol is to verify that the Suppository Cutting Machine operates according to the specified requirements and is capable of producing acceptable results under defined conditions.

Scope

This protocol applies to the operational qualification of the Suppository Cutting Machine located in the Production area for the purpose of trimming excess material from suppositories and implants. It covers the critical parameters that affect product quality.

Responsibilities

The validation team is responsible for executing the OQ protocol, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Quality Assurance department will review and approve the final report.

Prerequisites

  • Installation Qualification (IQ) must be completed and approved.
  • Operators must be trained on the use of the Suppository Cutting Machine.
  • All necessary materials and equipment must be available.

Equipment Description

The Suppository Cutting Machine is designed to trim excess material from suppositories and implants with high precision. The machine features adjustable cutting blades and alignment guides to ensure cutting accuracy.

Test Plan

Test ID Procedure Acceptance Criteria Evidence
OQ-001 Verify cutting precision alignment using calibration standards. Alignment within ±0.5 mm of target specification. Calibration report and alignment measurement logs.
OQ-002 Conduct a test run with production materials. All products trimmed to specifications without defects. Test run report and product inspection logs.

Detailed Test Cases

Test Case OQ-001

Objective: To ensure the cutting precision alignment meets specifications.

Procedure: Use calibration standards to measure the alignment of the cutting blades. Record measurements and compare against target specifications.

Acceptance Criteria: Alignment must be within ±0.5 mm of target specification.

Expected Outcome: Successful alignment verification.

Test Case OQ-002

Objective: To verify the machine’s performance with actual production materials.

Procedure: Run a batch of suppositories through the cutting machine. Inspect products for defects and measure trimmed dimensions.

Acceptance Criteria: All products must meet trimming specifications without defects.

Expected Outcome: Successful test run with compliant products.

Deviations

Any deviations from the acceptance criteria must be documented, investigated, and addressed in accordance with the company’s deviation management procedures.
