Performance Qualification Protocol for TEM/SEM in Critical NDDS Analytics

Meta Description: This document outlines the Performance Qualification Protocol for TEM/SEM equipment used in critical NDDS analytics, focusing on morphology characterization.

Tags: Equipment Validation, NDDS, TEM, SEM, Performance Qualification, Quality Control, R&D

Objective

The objective of this protocol is to validate the performance of the TEM/SEM equipment used for morphology characterization in the QC/R&D area, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality requirements.

Scope

This protocol applies to the TEM/SEM equipment utilized for critical NDDS analytics within the Quality Control and Research & Development departments. It encompasses all necessary performance qualification activities.

Responsibilities

  • Validation Team: Responsible for executing the PQ protocol and documenting results.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for reviewing and approving the protocol and results.
  • Equipment Operator: Responsible for performing the tests as outlined in this protocol.

Prerequisites

  • Completion of Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) for the TEM/SEM.
  • Training of personnel on equipment operation and safety protocols.
  • Availability of reference materials and calibration standards.

Equipment Description

The TEM/SEM is an advanced imaging instrument used for high-resolution morphology characterization of materials. It supports GMP compliance and provides critical analytics for NDDS development.

Test Plan

Test ID Procedure Acceptance Criteria Evidence
TP-001 Resolution calibration using standard samples Resolution must meet or exceed specifications outlined in URS Annex11 Calibration report and images
TP-002 Image integrity assessment Images must demonstrate clarity and accuracy Sample images and assessment report

Detailed Test Cases

Test Case TP-001: Resolution Calibration

Objective: To ensure the TEM/SEM achieves the required resolution.

Procedure: Perform calibration using a standard resolution test sample, following the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Acceptance Criteria: The resolution must meet or exceed specifications outlined in URS Annex11.

Expected Outcome: Calibration report indicating compliance.

Test Case TP-002: Image Integrity Assessment

Objective: To verify the integrity of images produced by the TEM/SEM.

Procedure: Capture images of standard samples and evaluate clarity and accuracy against known benchmarks.

Acceptance Criteria: Images must demonstrate clarity and accuracy.

Expected Outcome: Assessment report confirming image integrity.

Deviations

Any deviations from the protocol must be documented and justified. A deviation report should be submitted to Quality Assurance for review and approval.

Data Integrity Checks

As CSV is required, the following data integrity checks will be performed:

  • Ensure that all calibration data is logged in a secure, validated electronic system.
  • Perform regular audits of the data entry process to prevent errors.
  • Implement backup procedures for all data generated during the PQ process.
