Meta Description: This document outlines the Installation Qualification protocol for the Vacuum Transfer System used in Solid Dosage Form production, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Tags: Equipment Validation, Installation Qualification, Vacuum Transfer System, Solid Dosage Form

Objective

The objective of this Installation Qualification (IQ) protocol is to verify that the Vacuum Transfer System (Mobile) is installed correctly and operates according to the specified requirements outlined in the User Requirements Specification (URS) Annex 11.

Scope

This protocol applies to the Installation Qualification of the Vacuum Transfer System used for powder transfer between equipment in the Production/Material Transfer area. It encompasses all critical parameters and associated tests necessary for validation.

Responsibilities

  • Validation Team: Responsible for executing the IQ protocol and documenting results.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for reviewing and approving the protocol and results.
  • Operations Team: Responsible for providing necessary access and support during the qualification process.

Prerequisites

  • Completion of the Installation Checklist for the Vacuum Transfer System.
  • Availability of all necessary tools and materials for testing.
  • Training completion for personnel involved in the testing.

Equipment Description

The Vacuum Transfer System (Mobile) is designed for the efficient transfer of powders between equipment within the production area. It features suction flow filters, grounding interlocks, and a PLC for operational control.

Test Plan

Test ID Procedure Acceptance Criteria Evidence
IQ-001 Verify installation of suction flow filters Filters installed as per manufacturer specifications Installation checklist signed off
IQ-002 Check grounding interlocks functionality All interlocks functional and compliant Test results and operator signatures
IQ-003 Test PLC operation and settings PLC settings match operational requirements PLC configuration report

Detailed Test Cases

Test Case for IQ-001

Objective: Ensure that suction flow filters are installed correctly.

Procedure: Inspect the installation of suction flow filters and verify against manufacturer specifications.

Acceptance Criteria: Filters must be installed per specifications and function correctly.

Evidence: Documented installation checklist with signatures.

Test Case for IQ-002

Objective: Validate the functionality of grounding interlocks.

Procedure: Engage each interlock and confirm that the system does not operate when they are not engaged.

Acceptance Criteria: All interlocks must be operational and prevent system activation when disengaged.

Evidence: Signed test results by the validation team.

Test Case for IQ-003

Objective: Confirm that PLC settings are appropriate for operation.

Procedure: Review PLC configuration and settings against operational requirements.

Acceptance Criteria: PLC settings must match the specified operational parameters.

Evidence: PLC configuration report and validation signatures.

Deviations

Any deviations from the acceptance criteria must be documented and reviewed by the Quality Assurance team for appropriate corrective actions.

Approvals

This protocol requires approval from the Validation Manager and Quality Assurance before execution.
