Operational Qualification Protocol for Vision System in Equipment Validation

Meta Description: This document outlines the Operational Qualification (OQ) protocol for the Vision System used in the packaging and inspection of nasal and otic products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Tags: Equipment Validation, Operational Qualification, Vision System, Nasal Products, Otic Products

Objective

The objective of this protocol is to verify the operational functionality of the Vision System used in the packaging and inspection of nasal and otic products, ensuring compliance with acceptance criteria as outlined in URS Annex11.

Scope

This protocol applies to the Vision System utilized for verifying printed data in the packaging and inspection area for both sterile and non-sterile nasal and otic products.

Responsibilities

  • Validation Team: Responsible for the execution and documentation of the OQ protocol.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for reviewing and approving the protocol and results.
  • Operations: Responsible for providing access to the equipment and supporting the validation effort.

Prerequisites

  • Completion of Installation Qualification (IQ) for the Vision System.
  • Availability of necessary documentation, including User Requirements Specification (URS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Training of personnel on the operation of the Vision System.

Equipment Description

The Vision System is a critical piece of equipment used for the automated inspection of printed data on packaging for nasal and otic products. It is designed to ensure high accuracy and reliability in data verification processes.

Test Plan

Test ID Procedure Acceptance Evidence
OQ-01 Verify read rate of the Vision System. Read rate ≥ 99%. Read rate report.
OQ-02 Audit trail verification for reject logic. Audit trail must be complete and accurate. Audit trail log.

Detailed Test Cases

Test Case OQ-01: Verify Read Rate

Objective: To ensure the read rate of the Vision System meets the acceptance criteria.

Procedure: Conduct a series of tests to measure the read rate of the Vision System using pre-printed samples.

Acceptance Criteria: The read rate must be ≥ 99%.

Evidence: Document results in the read rate report.

Test Case OQ-02: Audit Trail Verification

Objective: To verify that the Vision System maintains a complete and accurate audit trail for reject logic.

Procedure: Review the audit trail logs generated by the Vision System during operation.

Acceptance Criteria: The audit trail must be complete and accurate.

Evidence: Document results in the audit trail log.

Deviations

Any deviations from the acceptance criteria must be documented and investigated. A detailed report should be generated for any test that does not meet the specified criteria.
