Objective

The objective of this Installation Qualification (IQ) protocol is to verify that the Ultracentrifuge is installed correctly and operates according to specified requirements for the separation and purification of polymeric nanoparticles.

Scope

This protocol applies to the Ultracentrifuge used in the R&D/Production area for particle separation and purification of NDDS – Polymeric Nanoparticles.

Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of the validation team to execute this protocol and document the results. Personnel involved should be trained in the operation of the Ultracentrifuge.

Prerequisites

Ensure that the Ultracentrifuge has been received and is ready for installation. Verify that all necessary utilities (power, water, etc.) are available.

Equipment Description

The Ultracentrifuge is designed for the separation and purification of polymeric nanoparticles through high-speed centrifugation. Key specifications include:

  • Maximum RPM: [Specify]
  • Temperature Control: [Specify]
  • Imbalance Control: [Specify]

Test Plan

Test ID Procedure Acceptance Criteria Evidence
IQ-UC-01 Verify installation and connections All connections secure and operational Installation checklist
IQ-UC-02 Check RPM settings RPM within specified range Calibration report
IQ-UC-03 Temperature control verification Temperature within specified limits Temperature logs
IQ-UC-04 Imbalance control test No imbalance errors during operation Operational log

Detailed Test Cases

Test Case: IQ-UC-01

Procedure: Verify that the Ultracentrifuge installation is complete and all connections are secure.

Acceptance Criteria: All connections are secure and operational.

Evidence: Complete the installation checklist.

Test Case: IQ-UC-02

Procedure: Check the RPM settings using the built-in calibration tools.

Acceptance Criteria: RPM must be within the specified range.

Evidence: Document the calibration report.

Test Case: IQ-UC-03

Procedure: Verify temperature control settings and functionality.

Acceptance Criteria: Temperature must be within specified limits.

Evidence: Provide temperature logs.

Test Case: IQ-UC-04

Procedure: Conduct an imbalance control test during operation.

Acceptance Criteria: No imbalance errors should occur.

Evidence: Document the operational log.

Deviations

Any deviations from the acceptance criteria must be documented and addressed in accordance with the deviation management procedure.

Approvals

This protocol must be approved by the validation manager and the head of the R&D/Production department before execution.
